Private Tour Guide Paris
Paris Tourist Attractions

Wandering through the Rodin museum nets you a one-of-a-kind experience, what with the masterpieces laid out both inside and outside the place. The gardens themselves are a marvel to behold, as are the many statues dotting the spaces between them. After you have finished roaming around the Rodin Museum though, chances are you will want to check out other options for spending time in the area.

Visiting the Invalides

This may well be the most underrated monument Paris has. King Louis XIV commissioned it in 1670 to be built as a retirement home and hospital for injured military men. Today it serves that exact purpose, as well as being a museum for France’s army, along with the resting ground for some of its war heroes, including Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte himself.

Walk the Embassies Area

To the other side, you have the relatively nice district where the embassies are. While not all of those are situated here, the place is good enough to roam around. You have the Hotel Matignon, which is where the Prime Minister resides, and then a few other embassies located along Rue Vaneau and Rue de Varenne, which you can check out from the outside. All of this can be a great experience if you have the right tour guide commentating along the way, right up till Saint-Germain-Des-Pres, where you have Paris’s oldest church.

Hit the Cafe De Flore

Lots of people love it whilst visiting a place to hang around a bit at spots frequented by stars. When you are in the same neighborhood as the Rodin Museum, you shouldn’t leave without at least a short visit to Café de Flore, one of the city’s most iconic cafes. This is in fact one of the crowd-favorite places that people frequent, and which has a history of being patroned by the well-known French artists, philosophers, and writers, as far back as the 19th century. Even today you might get to catch famous French people having coffee here, especially if they happen to live in the neighborhood.

That concludes our list of interesting things to do when you are around the Rodin Museum. Any private tour guide Paris has to offer would tell you these are all great ways to unwind and relax while in the French capital.
